When a solution must be both highly functional and attractive — and last for decades — it takes more than a standard fence. Sorø Recycling Centre decided for a professional noise barrier using ROCKWOOL Noistop Steel, combining effective noise reduction with refined aesthetics, long service life and high material standards.
The project comprises a total of 125 metres of barrier, the final 75 metres elegantly mounted on top of a concrete wall to maximise performance. The result meets its purpose while being executed with attention to detail and respect for the surroundings.
Minimising disruption to sports areas and nearby homes
The site borders a green, active sports area and residential neighbourhoods, so care was taken to minimise disruption. Neighbours and visitors can now expect noticeably lower noise levels from the centre’s daily activities.
